Terms of Sale

The term ‘TRA Trading Ltd’ trading as ‘The Online Baby Centre’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is Unit 4 Hellys Court, Water ma Trout, Helston, Cornwall, TR13 0EW. Our company registration number is 07588201 registered at Companies House. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.

Payment

Our payments are handled by Payment Sense. When you make a payment you will be redirected to their secure servers. We will review all orders before accepting payment. Goods remain our property until payment has been made in full. Payment can also be made via Paypal

Your right to cancel

If you cancel your order placed on our website before the item has been dispatched a full refund will be given, once the item has been dispatched you will be liable for the cost of returning goods to us. 

Contract of Sale

On all online sales, the contract of sale is formed at the point where goods are dispatched. We reserve the right to cancel a sale prior to dispatch.

UK law applies to all sales.

Oversize items

Due to courier restrictions we reserve the right to re-package items that have a box of over 330cm (combined length and girth) in size in order for them to be accepted by standard courier services. This helps avoid the inconvenience to you, the customer, of receiving a palletised delivery.

Returns

Under the Consumer Contract Regulations 2014, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calender days of delivery. Returns are subject to the Duty of Care as specified on the returns sections of our website. To cancel your order please use the contact form on our website or telephone (01326727114) You will be responsible for the return delivery costs. We reserve the right to take a deduction from any refund in the event an item is damaged as a result of being over handled. Once returned items are received and subject to satisfactory inspection, a refund will be processed within 3 working days. This is in addition to your statutory rights. Please note that wheeled goods may not be returned once they have been used outside, and car seats may not be returned once the tags have been removed.

For reasons of hygiene, Nappies (including swim nappies) and mattresses may not be retuned after they have been removed from their original packaging.

Please note that this policy does not apply to purchases made in store. Please ask in store for further details.

Royal Mail 24, Small Item Next Day, and Saturday Delivery

These services are carried out in addition to the supply of goods and as such form their own contract. In the event that you opt for one of these services and exercise your rights under the Consumer Contract Regulations Regulations then providing the services have been carried out as advertised a refund for these services will not be given.

To return an Item

You must first contact us for a returns reference number. The cost of returns is at your expense. We can arrange for an item to be collected by our couriers, the cost of this will be deducted from your refund, the cost of this will depend on the product, if you would like a quote please contact our customer services department.  If you do return your item via royal mail please ensure you obtain a proof of postage and purchase adequate insurance (we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in the post unless we have arranged the collection)

Faulty items

Our guarantee is valid for 6 months from the date of delivery after which you may be covered by an extended manufacturers warranty. Periods differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, please contact us prior to purchase if you are unsure. 

If you find that there is a manufacturing fault with your product, please contact us. We may arrange a collection or may request that you return an item via royal mail.  If a manufacturing fault is found we will arrange for either the repair of your item or for spare parts to be sent to you. If this is not possible due to an item being un-repairable, we will endeavour to provide a replacement item. After 30 days from delivery a refund will only be offered in the event that the manufacturer deems the item un-repairable and a replacement item cannot be provided. We are unable to provide replacement items whilst your item is being repaired.

If once returned goods are inspected they are found to be damaged through accidental damage, misuse or fair wear and tear our guarantee will be void, and we reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee for repair or replacement. You may however find that accidental damage is covered by your home contents insurance.

This is in addition to the manufacturers warranty.

Our product guarantee does not cover consequential loss. Eg. Time or items.

Items damaged or Lost in Transit

When you receive your item please inspect it for any signs of visible damage at the first opportunity. In the unlikely event of a problem you must contact us immediately but within 2 working days and we will make arrangements to refund or replace the damaged item.

In the unlikely event your item is lost in transit you will be offered a refund or replacement item. Please note for lost courier deliveries a period of 5 working days must be allowed before we can refund or replace. For Royal Mail items a period of 2 weeks or 10 working days is required.

Delays to deliveries

We are unable to accept any responsibility for delays to deliveries that are outside our control. This includes, but is not restricted to, third party couriers, suppliers, severe weather, traffic etc.

Pre-Order Items

Pre-Order items are given an estimated delivery date. This is an estimate and is subject to change. We will inform you as soon as we are made aware of any delay but cannot accept any responsibility for any delay to your delivery howsoever caused.

Special Orders

Items that are ordered specially for customers (i.e. items not usually stocked but ordered on request) will be given an estimated time scale for delivery. This estimate is subject to change and we cannot accept responsibility for any delays to this delivery..

Images and Item Description

Please be aware that we do our upmost to ensure that product images and descriptions are accurate. On occasion manufacturers may make slight alterations to a product without prior notice or without updating relevant images. We regret we are unable to accept responsibility in this case.

Privacy

we respect your privacy and will not share your information with any third parties, except for the purpose of delivery by courier and review gathering through Trustpilot.

The company retains control over the data provided and the purposes for which it is processed. The company authorises Trustpilot to process the data provided only for the purpose of sending out the specified review invitation emails and nothing else.

- Trustpilot will delete the data within a maximum of 30 days after the invitation email has been sent. Trustpilot will not and does not have the authority to use the data for any other purposes, and will never pass it on to any third parties.

- The customer must agree to share their email address with Trustpilot for the review to be activated on the company profile. This is stated clearly on the review platform. When the customer submits their review, Trustpilot registers their email address, but this is based on their consent and never happens automatically.

-  Data will be passed to third party couriers or suppliers for the purpose of delivery only. Couriers and suppliers will not and do not have the authority to pass your data to any other party and will retain delivery data for the purpose of proving delivery only.
