New to Helston Baby Centre - our hire service.
On holiday with no pushchair? Got a pushchair that's not quite up to the Cornish terrain? Need a Travel Cot or Highchair for a few days? We can help offering a fleet of for hire pushchairs and other nursery products at great prices. We offer weekly, fortnightly and monthly hire packages
All our pushchairs are suitable for use from birth. Our basic stroller can take a child up to approximately 3 years and our all terrain Nipper and Nipper Double can hold a children up to approximately 5 years.
We can provide 2 types of highchair, 1 foldable style highchair and a booster seat type that attaches to a regular chair.
We also offer a travel cot rental which comes with a basic mattress, a more comfortable mattress can be provided for an additional fee.
All items will be cleaned and sanitised prior to hire.
We offer hire terms of the following periods: 1 day to 1 week, 1-2 weeks, Up to 1 month.
All items can either be collected from our shop or delivered locally to TR12 and TR13 Postcodes. A deposit will be required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What will I need to hire an item?
A: We will require a valid form of Photo ID and proof of address. We will also require a deposit to be paid at the time of hire in addition to the hire fee. The deposit will be returned on the satisfactory return of the item.
Q: Do you hire car seats?
A: Unfortunately, for safety reasons, we are unable to offer a car seat hire service.
Q: Do you offer delivery?
A: Yes, we are happy to offer local delivery to the TR13 and TR12 postcodes, there will be a delivery / collection charge of £5 per order.
Q: Do you charge if the item is brought back in poor condition?
A: We would kindly request that items are returned in the condition they were received. We don't expect items to be perfect, and after every hire, each item is fully cleaned and sanitised. Where an item is permanently damaged or returned to us in a condition that will take considerable time to return to its original condition, then we reserve the right to apply a charge.
Q: What about air tyres on pushchairs?
A: All our all terrain pushchairs are fitted with pneumatic air tyres. These give the best possible ride over rough terrain. However, they do run the risk of punctures. The tyres will all be treated with tyre sealant, that will help reduce the risk of punctures. In order to minimise the risk of getting a puncture, do not overload the pushchair with bags etc, do not lean on it while you are pushing it. Punctures can be repaired in the same way as a bicycle tyre and replacement inner tubes can be bought from any bike shop (12"). We reserve the right to charge the cost of a replacement inner tube if the pushchair is returned with a puncture.
Q: What do you provide with a mattress?
A: Mattresses will be provided with a water resistant protector and fitted sheet. All will be laundered and sanitised prior to hire.
Q: What if the item I hire breaks?
In the very unlikely event that something goes wrong with the hire item, please call us immediately and we will arrange for its replacement. If an item is damaged as a result of misuse then a repair fee will be payable.
